HARMONY HARVELL

Principal, Francis Binkley Elementary School

Harmony Harvell was born and raised in Sonoma County and brings with her experience as an educator, coach, and leader in our community. She began as a teacher in 2003 in Wright School District teaching grades 4th-8th, then taught multi-lingual learners overseas, and came to the Rincon Valley District family in 2004.

Harmony has served as both Vice Principal at RVCS-Matanzas (now Spring Lake Middle School), Interim Principal at Matanzas (now Manzanita) Elementary, and joined Binkley as its principal in 2021. Harmony brings with her an understanding and compassion for the Binkley community and loves working with every staff, learner, and family. It is often said that Harmony treats learners with as much care as her own children.

Harmony is also a special education advocate for neurodivergent populations. Her son, August was a bobcat before his mom and thrives in Rincon Valley Partnership. His sister Lucille joined Binkley in 2022, and loves being a bobcat. As a family they enjoy hiking, days at the beach, gardening, music, crafting, and having a good belly laugh together.
