Every year the teachers and I start with a school-wide poster contest. We pick a theme which celebrates our school community or makes a positive difference to others. This year we asked students to share their dreams to change the world.
Every year the Rincon Valley Education Foundation offers several after school classes for students to sign up for. These classes vary from sports to crafts to academic enrichment!

Here are a few safety reminders to help us start the school year on a safe and courteous note:
Pedestrians-
*Walk on the sidewalks and use stairways and crosswalks to enter and exit school.
*LOOK before stepping into the driveway or nearby streets. This morning an adult walked directly in front of a moving vehicle, never looked up, and fortunately was not hit.
Drivers -
*Slow down!
*Use the pick up and drop off zone to pick up and drop off and park if you want to walk your child to their classroom
Everyone -
*Thank you for always modeling safety and courteous behaviors!
Please sign in to your Parent Portal if you have not done so yet! There, you will fill out your child's emergency contact information.
Thank you!

In order to comply with federal nutrition standards, we want to keep birthday celebrations at school healthy, fair and easy! This is a reminder to parents about RVUSD's new Wellness Practice for our schools: our teachers and staff will not be accepting food into their classrooms to celebrate student birthdays. If a family would like to send in a non-food treat instead, stickers or pencils are a great idea! Brainstorm ideas with your kids!
We have a new website! Updates are still in progress and we will be pushing out information and news to you soon on how to use it on your phone!
