PIZZA FRIDAY! Come to any RVUSD school site this Friday, October 16th and pick up a 16" pizza meal, plus breakfasts-that's 20 meals FREE! Also, don't forget to ask for meals for Saturday and Sunday. Take and Bake Pasta Meals available every Wednesday during the month of October . Please visit your nearest RVUSD school location to pick up your free take and bake pasta meal..you will receive one large container of prepared pasta with red sauce (meat sauce optional), one large container of garden salad, 10 breadsticks, 10 breakfast items and a variety of fruit. You can also pick up extra meals to go, just ask the cook when you arrive at the school location. We are serving meals daily from all RVUSD locations during the hours of 11:30-1:30 PM. Comidas de pasta para llevar y hornear disponibles todos los miércoles durante el mes de octubre. Visite la escuela de RVUSD más cercana para recoger su comida de pasta para llevar y hornear gratis ... recibirá un recipiente grande de pasta preparada con salsa roja (salsa de carne opcional), un recipiente grande de ensalada, 10 palitos de pan, 10 productos para el desayuno y una variedad de frutas. You will be receiving a detailed communication from the district office regarding the re-starting of distance learning next week. As a quick overview, schools will remained closed on Monday and Tuesday, with distance learning restarting on Wednesday. Dear RVUSD Families, Meal service will resume 10/2/20 at Village Elementary. Please visit us at our drive up location at 900 Yulupa Ave during the hours of 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Friday October 2nd to receive a hot meal or cold items for the weekend. For lunch on Friday we will be serving you a choice of turkey hot dog, cheeseburger and fries or a protein pack for the vegetarian option. Multiple weekend meals will also be available if requested. We are serving student (0-18 aged children) meals to all families in our community regardless of your home school location or district of enrollment. _______________________________________________________________________ Estimadas familias de RVUSD, El servicio de comidas se reanudará el 2 de octubre del 20 en Village Escula. Visítenos en nuestra ubicación en el 900 Yulupa Ave durante el horario de 10:30 a. M. A 1:30 p. M. El viernes 2 de octubre para recibir una comida caliente o alimentos fríos para el fin de semana. Para el almuerzo del viernes, le serviremos una selección de hot dog de pavo, hamburguesa con queso y papas fritas o un paquete de proteínas para la opción vegetariana. September 29, 2020 Here are a few more RVUSD updates as we move through this week: School (Distance Learning) will be canceled for the remainder of this week. We will use this time to assess the health and safety of our staff and families. With so many families evacuated and trauma levels so high within our community, we must give time to repopulate and recover. This is a timeline that none of us can control. We will have an additional update to you by the end of this week, once we know more about the situation. This update will include a timeline/process for resuming Distance Learning. We will also have a cleaning timeline for our campuses so teachers and staff can return to campuses to work on site. If conditions allow, we will begin serving free meals to families starting on Friday, October 2nd. We will be serving meals from Village Elementary. Look for more information coming to you soon. Over the last couple of weeks we have sent home PSPS packets and/or learning plans. If you would like to jump into those packets/learning plans, please feel free to do so. However, there is no obligation or expectation at this point in time that this work be completed. Below is a message from RVUSD Superintendent, Tracy Smith: Dear RVUSD Staff and Families, We wanted to give you a few brief updates: 1) There will be no Distance Learning (Zoom, school work, etc.) for tomorrow, September 29, 2020 due to the continued evacuations and uncertainty of the current threat of fires in our community. 2) From the reports we have received all of our school sites are still standing. Thank you to our first responders! 3) The Board Study Session on Distance Learning planned for Tuesday, September 29th will be rescheduled. We are extending out virtual hugs to all of our families especially those who might have lost their homes or have had to evacuate. Village Families, Fires are once again creating threatening conditions throughout our community. All Rincon Valley Schools are closed today, September 28th. There will be no Zooms or work assigned. No need to open the emergency packets you picked up on Friday--today is a day to focus on the SAFETY and WELL-BEING of you, your children, and your loved ones, not school work. Due to the quickly evolving fire threat to our district we will be closing school for Monday September 28th. Please stay safe.
