Village Families, Tomorrow is Drop-Off/Pick-Up Day! Included in the pick-up materials will be a large envelope for each student that includes work packets in case of a PSPS event. This is your POP (Power Outage Packet) in case we need it due to power outages. Please be sure to grab one tomorrow, but do not open this packet unless directed by your teacher! See you tomorrow!

The Board of Education is holding a special study session on Tuesday, September 29th at 6:00pm. This is a public meeting and all are welcome to zoom in. Our topic of discussion is Distance Learning. Message from Village School: Materials and supplies pick-up and drop-off is tomorrow, Friday, September 11 from 8:00-4:00. See you then!

Dear RVUSD Families, Please visit us at any of the RVUSD school sites to pick up your student’s free breakfast of blueberry muffin and a hot rib-b-q sandwich for lunch. All school sites will be open on Thursday 9/10/2020. As always, you can pick up meals for multiple days, just ask the staff when you arrive at location. We will be serving meals Monday thru Friday from 11:30-1:30 PM. However, due to the current power shutdown event we will be moving important celebratory items (honoring employees of the month) and informational items of interest to a special board meeting to be held on Wednesday, September 16th at 6:00. We will be sticking to basic district business this evening.

Dear RVUSD Families, PG&E alerted us this morning that the district and many of our families will likely be impacted by a Planned Power Shutdown event scheduled over the next two days. We were informed that the following school sites will be de-energized for Tuesday and Wednesday during school hours: Austin Creek, Sequoia, RVCS- Sequoia, Whited, Binkley and Madrone. This power shutdown will impact our distance learning plans for the next two days. Please look for more information and details from your school principal and teachers over the course of this afternoon and evening. Regretfully Extended Care programs at those five sites will need to be closed for these two days. Home Study and Rincon Valley Partnerships can also expect communication from your coordinators around learning expectations for the next couple of days. For students who attend Spring Creek, Matanzas, RVCS- Matanzas and Village, you will also be getting information/details from your principals and teachers in regards to how this PSPS event might impact your child’s learning over the next two days. Although these schools will not be de-energized, learning could still be impacted by the power shutdown event happening elsewhere in our district.
